Advamced Placement/College Board

Advanced placement courses are designed to prepare pre-collegiate students with collegiate courses during their high school matriculation. The Advanced Placement (AP) program is a sponsored by the College Board which helps to design and regulate the courses. These courses are recognized to have equivalent rigor as the undergraduate courses in college. The students that meet the requirements and obtain high enough scores on the AP exam may be granted college credits. The program works to ensure that students from diverse backgrounds have the same opportunities regardless of their societal status and promotes success in college and life.
